  • Cian O'Riordan – Funeral Director

    Cian O'Riordan joined us in 2022. At the time he was one of the youngest Funeral Directors in Ireland and indeed was part of a documentary highlighting this.

    Our Cian is multitalented, a fluent Irish speaker and a talented traditional musician.


    We have proudly observed as Cian has grown in confidence and his friendly and approachable manner has brought much comfort to our families at their time of need.

    Cian is now embracing his new challenge by enrolling with our Embalming School and aims to become a qualified Embalmer next year. 

  • Alex McCormick – Funeral arranger

    Alex McCormick joined us from a background in the care industry. She has a passion for care and this is so very evident when she is dealing with our families.

    Her skill of understanding the wide-ranging emotions our families are enduring and her ability to steer them through the funeral process with compassion and empathy allows our families to know that Alex will ensure that all wishes will be followed.

    Alex is always available to our families before, during and after the funeral of their loved one, and can be often found
    "checking in" with our families after the service in case there is something further, she can help with.

  • Jeanette Doyle – Funeral Arranger

    Jeanette Doyle brings a wealth of experience to O'Neill's. Having worked in the funeral industry for more than 17 years Jeanette intuitively understands the needs of our families.

    From the first meeting to arrange the funeral, any questions, worries or concerns are all addressed calmly and carefully by Jeanette.

    Her compassion and attention to detail are exceptional and our families leave feeling reassured that their loved ones are in our care and they themselves will be supported throughout the funeral process with Jeanette always available to them, quietly and methodically organising their loved one's final goodbye.

  • Michael Reilly – Funeral Director

    Michael Reilly has over 15 years in the funeral industry. You will see Michael on our Funeral cortege, but you will also see him from time to time in our office.

    Michael is also a Duty Manager and helps with the co-ordination of conducting our funerals. Again, Michael is also helpful, friendly and approachable and his focus is to ensure the smooth conducting of the funeral.

    Michael always ensures that our families know he is available to them always should they have any questions or worries. 

  • Martin Downey – Funeral Director

    Martin Downey has been with us for over 6 years and brings a wealth of knowledge as his background has also been within the funeral industry for over 10 years. Martin is compassionate, approachable and prides himself, and O'Neill's, with his impeccable attention to detail. Our families know that if they have any queries, Martin will be available when they need him.

  • Bronagh Brennan – Office Manager

    Bronagh Brennan is office manager and has been with us for 7 years. Her commitment and passion for our families radiates from the moment you meet her.

    At one of the hardest times of our families lives, Bronagh brings a sense of calm and order in what can be a tumultuous and heartbreaking experience. She gently walks our families through the preparation of the funeral plans, provides timely updates and ensures that all the organisation of the funeral is in place.

    This allows our families time to grieve and reflect before that last goodbye at the funeral.

  • Noreen Thompson – Funeral Arranger

    Noreen Thompson is a key figure here at O'Neill's she leads our pastoral care team with families who have employed our services knowing they can lift the phone to us anytime for anything they need.

    She has a wealth of knowledge in customer care, a lot of which is calmly transferred to the care for our families. Noreen will meet families as their first face to face contact when they come in to make their loved ones funeral arrangements, she is a face and a name they will never forget, as she brings a sense of comfort to every family she assists.

  • Laurence O'Neill – Funeral Director/Embalmer/Manager

    Laurence O'Neill epitomises the very essence of O'Neill's. He upholds our ethos of "Our Family Helping Yours" and ensures that families who place their loved ones in our care are assured of compassion, empathy, and professionalism.

    Most of you will know Laurence, as he is always available to our families to reassure, support and advise. Laurence's knowledge of the funeral industry is priceless. He consistently strives to improve and strengthen our ability to be relevant and regulated, and ensures we are all held to the highest of standards. He recently graduated with the British Institute of Embalmers as a Tutor and is now educating the next generation of embalmers at his embalming academy.

    Laurence brings a sense of calm and knowledge to what can be an emotional time in families lives and can be seen conducting at funerals. Indeed, Laurence leads by example, his attention to detail, kindness and approachability are evident by all those who have met him.

  • Deidre Doherty

    Deidre Doherty joined our team recently from over 20 years working in the Parish Office of St Oliver Plunkett. She brings with her a wealth of knowledge and compassion which enhances the care and attention we bring to our grieving families.


    We are sure many of our families will agree that Deirdre is a wonderful addition to our team.

  • Jim Hetherington – Funeral Director

    Jim Hetherington has been part of our funeral cortege for over 30 years. Jim brings a sense of calm and kindness to our families just when they need it the most.

    He conducts the funeral with eloquent dignity ensuring family members are gently supported as their loved ones make their final journey.

    Jim is approachable, friendly and caring and that is very evident when he is working with our families. Most of all Jim is a professional who takes pride in his role and ensures the dignity and care of our families, and their loved ones, are his priority.

  • Donna O’Neill – General Manager

    Donna O’Neill is a Manager and Funeral Arranger here at O’Neills.

    Since establishing the family business in 1991 Donna continues to work in the business alongside her husband Laurence and son Laurence.

    She ensures that every family who require our services, receive the personal caring attention you would expect as if it was one of our own family members.

  • Laurence O’Neill – Owner/Manager

    Laurence O’Neill established the family business in 1991 and continues to work in the business alongside his wife Donna and son Laurence.

    He ensures that his family are there for every family who request our services.

    Laurence has overseen the business grow to offer families the best service and facilities that are unrivalled.

  • Gerard O’Hara – Funeral Director

    Gerard O’Hara joined us in 2024; Gerard has a long history working in the funeral industry.

    Gerard has a friendly and kind demeaner with all our families. He is always happy to help; Gerard will often be seen out on funerals.

    Gerard is friendly and approachable, and he is always compassionate and ensures dignity and care is always shown to the families he is working with.
